How to unlock an 01 Audi A8l D2, with a disconnected battery. The key will not turn the trunk lock in either direction

ohhh. that issue lmao i had that issue with my 2006 audi a8. what i did was i grounded a jumper box on my door frame then used a screwdriver to jump to the bottom of the 12v terminal to temp get power and pop the trunk remotly. might be safer to grab an old 12 volt connector then clamping the positive termnal on that. it was the only way i figured out how to do it. if you can find the fuse box under the hood you could also maybe boost from the main possitive lead.
