What is gas gauge reading on 2002 yukon xl 1500 series

Adding fuel system cleaner to yukon. Need 20 gallons of gas in tank.  I have a
full tank right now. What does the gas guage read with 20 gallons ibn tank I
have a 31 gallon tank

I'd say a little more than half a tank on the gauge. True half would be 15.5 gallons. But you always have a 2 to 3 gallon reserve when the gauge first hits empty. So if the gauge is on half you have about 17.5 to 18.5 gallons in the tank. Twenty gallons in the tank would be just a bit over the half tank mark. Hope that helps! Jim
