2005 Audi A4 burns oil

Asked by Eddie26A Dec 14, 2014 at 10:04 PM about the 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Cabriolet FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 2005+ Audi A4 Cabriolet with 1.8 engine and it burns oil at 115,000 miles - about 600 miles now and I need a qt of oil.
Will this be an expensive repair or should I be thinking of a new car?  Basically, I like the car.

check for leaks if your going threw oil that fast you may have a bad cam seal or head gasket seal. Also if your car is smokeing more then ussal and smells like a skidoo does that means your burning oil in hte cylinders which means headgasket seals have gone.
