2005 Audi A6 3.2 Quadro lock down

Asked by Julie Jan 12, 2015 at 07:59 PM about the 2005 Audi A6 3.2 quattro Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I press the panic alarm on key. Now
steering wheel no power. Dashboard lights
turned off. Gear shift will not move. Things
turning on and off like fan. Now car want
crank. I unhooked battery hooked back up
cranked wouldn't stay cranked. ESP light is
on. Brake and air bag.  Now car is as it
seems to be locked down for security or
theft.
Can it be the fuses. Or what?
Crazy car thinking on its own.

disconnect the battery terminals and leave it disconnected for 15-20 minutes. While the cables are detached touch them together to drain the last of the power from the cars system and reboot your cars pc. Should fix yea right up. If that does not work put your key in the ignition then put the key to the on position for 10-12 minutes. after the time is up put it to power off then try and crank it.

check the battery level. anything lower then 11 volts and your car will go wonky.
