changing trans fluid

I drained the trany fuid (manual tran) and now want to refill. I am not sure how to add the fluid. I assume that there is a plug and that it may need to be pumped in? Also read that new fluid in an old trans may do more harm than good (has about 80,000 miles on it). Should I just put the old stuff back in?

there should be another plug higher on the trans,thats where u had new fluid,fill untill even with fill plug.and new fluid will help your tranny not hurt it.

My Ford temple 1991 .checking for transmission fluid pressure .there is no circulation to the radiator..I've had intermittent checking service engine soon light and I was told that it check or try to replace the speed sensor on the transmission .which almost makes sense because when it was running in moving doors no problem when I shut it off it would not shift into any gear and is doing the same thing no circulation. prior to shutting it off it was very sluggish and seems like would not go to an advanced gear .like the speed sensor was malfunctioning 1 Answer
