98 GMC 4.3 v6. Cranks but won't start even if I spray gas in throttle body. I'm guessing spark issue but would like some tips before I work on after work. Any suggestions?

Yes, probably have no spark. First thing to do is to see if you can spin the rotor. It should not spin. Then check the cap and rotor for carbon tracks & cracks. The rotor would have a burn mark underneath in the center. Make sure the spark plug wires are in good shape. If you want to test any with a digital multi meter then it is 8000Ω per foot. If your not seeing anything obvious, then take the coil and the ignition control module to an auto parts store and have them tested. One other thing is it is possible the crankshaft sensor could be bad.
