Engine swaps can be lots of work and require tools and mechanical skills few people have. I have seen 302 (5.0 L) engines, 351W and 460 Ford engines put in Rangers. The bigger the engine's physical size the more work it is. Also with an increase in power other systems need to be upgraded such as suspension, brakes, exhaust, transmission, rear differentials, driveshafts, etc.
