Have problems with idle on my pick up

I have a 94 gmc sierra c1500 4.3L I change out the head
gaskets and when I put it back together I try to turn it on  all
it will do is crank and crank over but if I push acceleration
pedal it will start right up. Then I'll let go of the pedal it will
die on me any suggestion to help me solve my problem

Possible ISC ( idle speed control) on side of throttle body. Or" IAC" Idle air control" sensor/sensors..or a short somewhere in in electrical connections..
