cold start trouble

I have a 1995 b2500 Dodge Van with a 5.2 engine. The first thing in the morning my van will not start unless I leave the key in the on position for about 30 seconds, then starts fine. What will cause this problem?

My Dodge ram 1500 is a 97 it won’t start in the morning but in the afternoon when he gets hot it Kranks right up and drive it down well it’ll make a big bang backfire and shut off and then start back again I can figure out the problem
