Temperature guage on my 05 grand caravan jumps up to the 3/4 line first thing in the morning on my way to work when the car is still cold, then levels of 20 minutes into the drive. My heater is also blowing cold off and on, any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Gabi, mine 2010 does the same thing. Dealer says the computer code is saying the transmission is overheating, not the engine, but he will not give an explanation (surprise)? Does anyone have an answer for our question?

Actually mine turned out to be low radiator fluid. It was about half a gallon low. My bad for not keeping an eye on it. Heater and temp gauge are working normally again. Thanks for your input, I appreciate your help on this. Hope you can find what is wrong with yours.
