what could kill coil pak on my ranger or is that possiable maybe a ground could dont know

coil went dead bought new one 4months later it went dead got another one but still got small miss don't know what is causeing it

I agree with Tom, spark plug could be cracked or carbon traced, plug wire could have a hole in it causing the spark to go straight to ground.

Washing the engine is a big killer of coils. Moisture kills coils so keep it dry.
