I replaced my camshaft sensor on my turbo pt and the check engine light still came back on

The mechanic plugged it in the error detector and it is still saying replace that same sensor also he gave me a code P0340 but i checked the code on my car myself its giving me P0344

ive been reading on this, it says that an intermittant glitch in crankshaft position sensor can set this code.
