water pump replacement

I'm changing the water pump and the timing belt
came loose can I turn the cams to line up the
marks to were they need to be

Yes, by hand only. Make sure that the one on the main pulley is in the proper position as well. Turning by hand is typically how it is done so that everything is in the proper place before you start the car.

tennisshoes is correct that is why I said by hand only. If you crank to try to line up before putting the belt back on the valves will hit the pistons, but if you turn by hand BEFORE putting the belt back on you should be fine. Just heed tennishoes advice and make sure you only turn by hand and before you put the belt back because if you turn with the belt still on nothing will ever get lined up correctly. Good luck.
