My car over heats and fan does not kick on. Can u help?

Asked by ruben2002ptcq Mar 11, 2015 at 11:13 PM about the 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I removed the fan and tested direct to the battery and the fan works.  Is there a sensor
anywhere that would make the fan turn on.  I located one by the thermostat housing.
Would that be my problem ?  I also checked fuse and it was okay.
