PT WON'T STAY RUNNING

My 2002 PT Cruiser Limited Edition won't
idle when first started with out the gas
pedal being pushed. After being driven
around it will not stop running when you
turn the key. It stays running and you have
to bump the gas pedal for it to turn off. Any
suggestions?
