Question type: General

I replaced timing belt and water pump on my 2.4l and the timing belt slips forward destroying belt, could it be a tension pully issue since I didn't change it???

Something isn't ligned up. Tentioner might have a bad bearing or u might've left the belt riding over the edge of crankshaft pulley

I would ALWAYS recommend changing the tensioner with a timing belt.
