Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I own a first generation ford explorer [1992 4.0L automatic
transmission]. I had a problem between first and second gear , i had to let
the gass off to gear up. 1 year later, i lost all forward gears.Only Reverse
worked. I bought new transmission with tourbine and clutch, everything [from
my friend's truck , i knew that the gearbox is okay]. After the replacement -
my truck worked for 1 day and the same problem happened. Only Reverse
works again.. I tried start the engine and unplug the transmission cable-
same. Only R works.. what should I do ? :/

I would have brought the truck to a tranny shop with the original transmission and have them do the repairs/rebuild. The only suggestion I can offer is to do that now with whatever you installed.
