2002 Ford Taurus XL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus,  and when we were at a
stoplight, the car did a slight shaking, then the
check engine light came on. At every other stop
sign it didn't shake just that once at the stoplight, I
was wondering if it's still okay to drive it till I can
afford to get the problem fixed?

Is the light still on? You can scan for the codes for free at an auto part store. If it is running fine, you can continue to drive till you can get it into the garage.
