Battery shot from the below zero weather b

Asked by Holliwood77 Feb 09, 2019 at 05:42 PM about the 2002 Ford Focus SE Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Ford Focus and it has been below
zero outside here in Minnesota and my battery was
shot, so I put in a new one but now the car starts
right up but does not stay running. What could be
the problem?

Did that problem only start after battery was replaced? If so, I would check to make sure no sensor wires got knocked loose because changing a battery will not affect the car idle
