Uncontrolled Rise in Radio Volume

Asked by fourstringheroes Apr 10, 2011 at 07:39 PM about the 2002 Ford Focus LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Focus 2002 radio unit is broken - the volume goes to maximum as soon as I
turn on the radio. I can't turn the volume down - well, I can turn it down but it
immediately rises to maximum volume after I take my hand off of the volue knob.
Also, the Menu button doesn't work anymore. Fixes? PLEASE HELP as I have a road
trip to take in six days.
