Car has a warning sound when you start it
and drive it runs great.

I have A 05 Ford five hundred 215000. runs and drives great has it really loud whining sound when you start and accelerate. My friend changed the battery alternator spark plugs all the cool packs and then this started happening he let it sit for 2 years I bought it still runs runs great. I changed the belt check the belt tensioner power steering pully AC pully alternator pully all feel really good. Friend told me it was the harmonic balancer but it looks really good too. Took the belt off and started it no sound

Sure sounds like a bad pulley. Get a mechanics stethoscope and listen to each one as you spin it, you will find it.
