traction control problem 06 ford five hundred

drove up hill in snow storm. felt like the traction control turned off cause i was
able to tach up rpms and slid all the way up steep hills speedometer and
odometer stopped working,. check engine, traction control, abs, e brake, and
a little wrench light came on and stayed on til i got home  shut the car off and
now only the check engine remains.car drives fine just seems like ii have no
traction control anymore. what happened and how do i fix it?

Probably the only reason you made it up the hill is that the traction control was off. When it is on it applies the brakes so you can't move.

@ F_O_R yes i know that but what i need to know is why it turned off and why my check engine is on now
