Steering wheel buttons not working

The buttons on my steering wheel isn't
working to change my mileage and oil life

Driver controls for the SYSTEM CHECK works with the ignition switch switched/turned to the ON position. Select this (SYSTEM CHECK) function from the SETUP menu to cycle the message center to (OIL LIFE) report. if it does not work that way, then: 1)Component is not receiving proper current amount, 2)Too Much resistance (ohms) or Voltage drop at Component Ground connections, 3)Component itself is malfunctioning, 4) electrical wiring to the component is faulty. Early stage steering wheel clockspring failure, bad switches. As this involves the air bags have your favorite shop check it out.
