how do i replace a door handle on a 2001 ford explorer suv sport

one side of door handle broke off, so now i can't open the door from the outside. To make
matters worse, it's on the driver side and it's a 2 door.

You'll have to remove the inside door trim panel (careful - they're expensive and easy to ruin) to access the fasteners for the outside door handle from inside the door.
