Smoking under hood (a bunch)

So I have a Ford explorer 2006 Eddie Bauer edition
that had the check engine light on. When a
dignostic test was ran it said basically it needed a
tune up. Well today after driving it a out 30 mins it
started smoking a whole bunch. I parked. It not
reading hot and it just had an oil change. I'm sick
so I couldn't tell you what it smelt like . I know it
sounded different and had a bunch of smoke!!!
Anyone have any clues to what's wrong???
