I also have a 2006 Ford (Exploder) Explorer Eddie Bauer, and I have taken to the mechanic and the code reading at first was P0303. They could not figure out what else was wrong even after they changed spark plugs, ignition wires and cleaned out fuel injectors. Anyway they put sea foam and fill her up with gas, and drove it until 1/4 tank. Took Exploder back to the mechanic like we agreed I would bcz he said engine light would turn back on. Anyway, I go back just so he could say he did not know what else could be wrong with it. This time it is reading P0304. So now he thinks it could be that the computer needs update. So the symptoms are that no matter how much I accelerate it seems that it has no power until I hit the 50 mile/hr mark and it idles when I completely stop. Any thought about what it could be? Oh and I have heard I believe is the serpentine belt churping at times too. Would that be serpentine belt or pulley that needs to be replaced?
