Will Ford explorer 2000 to 2003 transmission XLT be compatible with 2000 to 2003 Ford explorer XLS could I use the transmission from the XLT to the XLS

Are they compatisble the xlt is four by four also but
i just need transmission off of it

For the year 2000, if memory serves, they used a different model # transmission for the 4.0 and v-8 models. Since you're ranging three model years I suggest you compare VIn's of the donor vehicle to the vehicle you intend to install it in.
