is the 4l engine from a 1994 compatable with a 4l 2001?

I have a 1994 explorer good 4litre engine bad body will it fit in a 2001?

Check the tranny also. The 94 is a pushrod engine and the 2001 is an SOHC engine. You may have problems with the PCM, not sure.
