Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 ford explorer.  The horn is not working.  When I press the horn there is a clicking sound in the rear relay box, however the owners manual does not show a relay for the horn

remove one at a time then try the horn. When the click stops you've found it.

There is a relay for the horn on your Exploder. It is RY612 Standard Motor Parts Number. It is a tall relay, also used for the horn on this model. It is in the power distribution box.

Behind the fuse panel. You have to remove the fuse panel located in the drivers side kick panel and mounted on the back side of the fuse panel are a cluster of relays. One is for the Horn.
