Get the trouble code read, almost all auto parts stores do this as a free service. Then we'll have a starting point for what's wrong.

Take the vehicle to AutoZone or O'Reilly Auto Parts they will do a diagnosis for free. Dan Post bacc what the codes are.

PO171= BANK 1 COMBUSTION TOO LEAN P0304= EXCESSIVE EMISSIONS LEVEL OF MISFIRE DETECTED ON CYLINDER NO. 4 P0316= MISFIRE IN THE FIRST 1000 REVOLUTIONS.

Po171 is most likely a Intake gasket leake, or Vac. House is bad. The P0304 code means that the cylinder 4 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks an if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 4. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done to diagnose problem, see "Possible Causes". You can also take starter fluid start the vehicle while the engine is still cold if the idle goes way up or almost kills the vehicle your lake is in that area

" possible causes are" Intake air leaks - Faulty front heated oxygen sensor - Ignition misfiring - Faulty fuel injectors - Exhaust gas leaks - Incorrect fuel pressure - Lack of fuel - Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor - Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection
