a/c compressor is smoking when a/c on no cold air

a/c started to blow warm air and smell of burned metal or plastic smell. turned off my a/c.. checked under hood. looks like smoke coming from a/c compressor when turned on and smell burning metal

A/C compressor or A/C clutch may be in need of replacement. I always recommend a qualified A/C specialist to work on these systems. This is NOT a good do it yourself job.
