So I have a 2003 grand Marquis and my check
engine light is on but do to I need a tune up is that
the reason I smell gas once I drive and ride

Might have a leaky injector, fuel pressure regulator or fuel rail. See what the trouble code is, you might be getting a too rich/lean condition.

smelling gas is bad- take it to a mechanic- someone honest- before it flames up on ya-

Yes, loss of power and shaking, injector or rail causing misfiring in addition to leaking fuel.

You don't think I need another intake cause my theromstat housing is leaking a lil water & I smell a funny Smell wen I crank the car up smells like gas or some other smell the smell only appeared once my check engine light came on

You have a cracked thermostat housing, so replace that, no need to replace an entire intake. That won't cause a "gas smell" tho. I would inspect every bit of the fuel rail and injectors, and again check for codes. A leaky inject may be giving you a "too rich" O2 reading.

sounds like you may be running rich. plugs and wires should fix this unless you have a fuel leak.

I have a 93 crown Vic and been having a strong gas smell & a leak on driver side of car I check the the hose that is running to gas tank but gas only leak while driving ; Need help
