Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I suspect there may have been bad fuel added. Not long after refueling my check engine light came on. After refueling again and adding fuel cleaner i experenced low power while driving on the interstate

If you added fuel while car was running or did not get the gas cap installed correctly it will cause the Check Engine light to come on. As far as the low power, I need to know if it is ongoing or was it momentary.

Fords are Well known for Bad EGR Valves. An EGR Valve helps burn the fuel better. A Fuel injector Cleaner BEFORE REFilling works wonders. If you can change out the fuel filter it should also help. Go to your local auto parts dealer and ask them to check the light for you. They (AutoZone, O'Reilleys, Advance Auto, ETC.) Check it for free and can give you a better understanding.
