Tune up

Asked by Jason Apr 29, 2019 at 07:42 PM about the 1998 Ford Crown Victoria 4 Dr LX Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just got a 98 crown vic lx for only 800. 4.6 flat out
falls on its face and is a major pain to drive. The
engine light stays on and once you get to a
descent speed the engine light starts flashing and
car starts jerking. It's been taken well care of so
will a tune up fix the problem or is there a deeper
problem? It did set for a few months or longer but
all fluids were full and oil looked new still.

Check the manual, but I think that it is blinking as a code. My 98 Grand Marquis needed the intake manifold replaced at that time.
