Mustang drifting

When I drift my 2006 v6 mustang the gas
gauge goes down to a few miles til empty
then very very slowly goes up. I'm assuming
its because all the gas gets thrown to one
side and throws off the sensor but is there a
way to fix this?

If you are drifting, why are you looking at the gas gauge? There's more important things going on. -- The gauge comes back slowly because the circuit has smoothing built in so the needle doesn't fling around. With out it, every start, stop and turn would send it wagging like a happy dog's tail.

When i`m done drifting it says around 14 miles to empty and its not just my gauge its the computer to. And it takes hours of driving to go back up unless I get it filled at a station.

just put about a half tank in it and dont look down dose ut do it when you shut the car off and turn it back on

If I turn it back on and on it still dose the same thing until I get it filled
From what I remember you could put in a racing fuel tank which would have a different gauge mechanism in the tank.

it is probably the computer if the gas is going back and forth it is going to thank the its empty
Like most have said, stick half a tank in and dont worry about it.
Drifting is a good way to tear your suspension out, let alone your brakes, and it puts a lot of strain on your clutch& pressure plate, Keep the 2006 for show,and buy a little Honda for drifting, it will save you money, in the long run.Then you can drift a the way to Japan in you want to...lol....hope this helps
