2006 mustang 4.0 electrical issue

Asked by GuruNYFBS Oct 16, 2019 at 09:42 AM about the 2006 Ford Mustang V6 Premium Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I have a 2006 mustang 4.0 and it seems to have
some kind of electrical issue going on. It doesn't
happen very much but sometimes, particularly
when it's been raining for awhile I will be driving
down the road and all of my lights, radio, blinkers,
and power windows just quit working. Engine will
still be running strong, just my lights and stuff die.
Any idea what this could be?

@beatupchevy not sure.. I will have my husband check that out. Weird thing is, the lights will intermittently work. They will die then come back on, die, come back on and keep doing that and eventually they will just stay working.

You should have your alternator checked. Mine done that sitting at a light one day and the wires to the alternator burned up. Luckily it wouldn’t a hard fix.
