Lights Dimming for a second

I will be driving day or nite i will here a click than the battery gauge will drop down to 12v than rite back up to 14v, At nite it is more noticeable because the headlights go real dim, New battery & Alternator still same thing ? Anyone !

Sounds like a loose wire might be grounding out the electrical system. Check all wires under the hood for good insulation with no cracks or worn spots on the wires. Possible voltage regular problem so check that also.
