What could be wrong if my truck is making a humming/grinding sound when gas pedal is pressed?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The sound doesnt happen if pedal is pressed in park and it doesn't
matter if engine is hot or cold. Not for sure but it sounds like its
coming from underneath or behind me. It makes the sound at all
speeds but gets pretty loud at 50mph and the sound stops
immediately when I take my foot off the gas. Also around 15-20
mph while slowing down it makes a sound like somethings winding
down

This could be bad cv joint in drive shaft,or low rear end fluid.

Sounds like a bad universal joint on the drive shaft. Or could be low on differential oil in the front or rear.
