Truck bed size

Hello! I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado
1500HD 6 1/2 foot short bed and I am
looking to buy a topper that was on a 2002
Chevy 1500HD 6 1/2 foot short bed- will it
fit?
My bed appears to narrow by almost 2
inches from the front to the tailgate.
I know they changed body style in 2003,
thus the reason I am asking if it will fit.

Almost 2" is nothing, you just place the topper how it would fit best. Now as long as one truck is step side, and the other a fleet side, then it won't fit.

Thank you, that is what I figured since my his measurements and my measurements are almost exactly the same. I believe his is a standard "fleet side" bed-just the same as mine. Thanks again! Phil.
