Will a 4WD 1998 tahoe 1500 rear end fit in a 4WD 2006 silverado 1500?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am completely swapping the rear end of my 2006 silverado 1500. I have access to a 1998 tahoe 1500. Both rear ends are the same gear ratio and both have drum brakes and leaf springs. I'm just wondering if there is any reason I could not bolt the tahoe rear end in the silverado. In other words, will the suspension brackets, shock brackets, pinion yoke, brake lines, and lugs all be the same on the tahoe rear end as on the silverado rear end. I would check myself but the truck is obviously not drivable and at the shop and the tahoe rear end is at the house, so I am being lazy and trying to avoid the hassle of moving them. Thanks in advance for any help!

Well for the record, the location of the blocks that bolt onto the leaf springs is not in the same location for a 98 and 2006. Other than that everything is the same regarding brake lines, vacuum hoses, yoke length, etc. Only other difference is the 98 rear end is about 2 inches shorter in total length which didn't make a big difference in my case since I am running wide tires.
