I have a 06 Chevy Silverado I replaced all the bulbs in the gage cluster and 3 of them don't work but my main concern is that the odometer and the knobs are not working lights and message center work

Is the engine really overheating or just the gage telling you it is? If the engine is not overheating, you have a short in the instrument gage. Pull it out and make sure the wires are connected solid and correctly. Make sure the sockets are not shorting out. Did you reconnect the ground wires? There should not be a lose or dangling wire.
