Need help!

Asked by Blake Feb 28, 2018 at 02:17 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab RWD

I was driving just fine and the my truck started like
losing power and then check engine light came on
started flashing. Codes read it was misfiring or
smtn. I just changed distributed cap and rotor the
week before. Starts up fine and idles ok. But when I
put it in drive it'll go up to maybe 20-30 then it acts
like it won't go no more, my rpm' s start going
down slowly. Alot of people are telling me it's my
torque converter,  i want to be sure can someone
help plz

Had a similar problem on my Durango a month ago. Turned out I had water sitting in my #2 plug which had leaked in from a crack in my cowling. Had to replace cowling, dry out the plug housing and replaced all the plugs. Problem went away. Thankfully no water had made it past the plug.
