2005 Chevy silverado 1500 5.3l v8 2wd engine light on after diy oil change

Just did an oil change on my Chevy , put new filter
and fresh oil 6 quarts . Then the check engine light
came on . Everything seems tight fluids are good
and running smooth . Any ideas as to why it came
on after the change ?

Did you potentially knock something out of place? Sometimes after changing my oil, the engine comes onI ignore it and it goes away within 24 hours just checking its self out. If you cant tell you could take it to a local AutoZone and test it.
