Cold start issues

Asked by Thelawman74 Jan 04, 2017 at 07:16 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased this Silverado and
replaced the battery because it cranked
kind of slow and was pretty old. Since then
I have had an issue where the truck
doesn't want to turn over it will just click
when I turn the key. Usually after several
attempts it will turn over slow and start.
After its started and shut off it fires up
perfect the next time when the truck is still
hot, but by the time I get off work it's back
to the same thing. Anyone ever have this
issue?

I would have the starter checked out, sounds like it is in the starter itself.
