FUel delivery

2003 1500 vortec
truck died changed filter and now truck won't
start.   Can you get air in the line? What am I
missing.

Try spraying some starting fluid in the air intake to see if it fires up. If it does and then dies out, then check the fuel pressure. Fuel pressure should be 56 to 62 lbs. I never had problems with air in the lines just changing out a fuel filter.
