water pump type .

Asked by Darnoc02 Mar 12, 2009 at 01:11 PM about the 1994 Ford Taurus GL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is the engine a OHV or DOHC? The pump I purchased  is for OHV. Hope it is the correct pump.

It should be, since the Taurus SHO was the only Taurus with DOHC in 1994, but I'm not sure if there is a difference in water pumps between the 3.0 Vulcan and the 3.8 Essex engines. Check under your hood and see if it says 3.0 or 3.8. Then at the parts store, you know which one to get for sure.
