2001 chevy 1500 v6 auto, truck wont go onto gear after cold night

SO WHEN I TURN THE TRUCK ON AFTER A COLD NIGHT IT STARTS FINE, BUT
WHEN TRYING TO PUT IT INTO GEAR IT DOESNT GO INTO GEAR OR MOVE UNTIL
5-10 MINS LATER WHEN WARMED UP. THE RPMS WILL GO UP WHEN REVING IT
UP BUT TRUCK WONT MOVE. ONLY DOES THIS WHEN IT SITS OVER NIGHT ON A
COLD NIGHT. NO PROBLEMS DURING SUMMER OR WARMER MONTHS

It sounds like there is a (cold air related) pressure buildup issue within the transmission's 1-2 accumulator valve. This usually will not result in a code being produced. Also check to see if the MAF sensor needs to be cleaned.
