2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 Engine Overhaul

I am looking to make this my forever truck.  I want a fast, big and great engine.  
Do the pros recommend remanufactured engine, new crate engine or what.  I
am not that CAR Guy but this has been a great truck for me and I don't want
the expense of a new truck.

I'd recommend a remanufactured engine. They come with a good warranty, just like a new crate engine, and they want your old engine back as the core. So you don't have to worry about how to get rid of it. Hope that helps! Jim
