2000 Silverado 1500. The transmission cooling lines blew off while I was driving. I replaced the black plastic clips on the lines but can't get them to snap onto the fitting.

can you add regular hose clamps at the fitting and where is the problem??? at the trans. cooler???

No the problem is on the transmission side. The is a steel hose. It had a beveled end that goes into the fitting and this clip holds it in place. Hose clamp wouldn't do any good.

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab, 4.8 liter. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle, but the one I can't seem to solve is this: if I leave the truck sitting for a day, when I get in and start driving, about 5 miles down the road, it acts like it is being starved of fuel. The engine light starts blinking and there is no power even when i step on the gas fully. After a minute or two, it goes away and runs fine unless I let it sit for a couple days. I just replaced my fuel lines because they were rusted out but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas anyone? 6 Answers

Engine light is always on and blinks on and off when problem occurs.
