I want to change the rear end out on
my 97 Chevy Cheyenne pickup and
convert it 2 disc brakes can I buy a rear
end already set up like that and how
would I determine what years I had
where I can match them without
messing up the speedometer

I heard Quote "GM went back to rear drum brakes. Due to many problems with the R/Rear caliper. If you do make any conversion the Rear calipers get drowned in water, snow & mud. It's just the design of the chassis. Buy an after-market kit designed to improve on this older design used on the trucks of that era"
